The 5WH

Today I am going to talk about the five 5WH (What, When, Who, Where, Why) this theme is such a important thing for your knowledge in English. You will see this words several times and is important to know those words.

1- What ( o que ou qual)

We usually will use what to make question.

Ex: What is your favorite color?
       What did you speak?

2- When (quando)

This word would be "quando" in Brazil, for this, is the same purpose. This word can be use in affirmations and interrogative questions.

Ex: When do you travel to Bahia?
       I was eating when all things happened

3- Who (quem)

This word put emphasis in the name. Only used when we have a name in the phrase.

Ex: Michael Jackson is the singer who I like very much.
      Julia is the girl who josh fell in love.

The song "Who is it" is a good song to train this word!

4- Where (onde) 

This word is to indicate position.

Ex: Where are you?

I don't know where I am.

5- Why (Por que)

When you want to know the reason about something.

Ex: Why did you do that?
       I don't know why you like to shout with me.
